James is an architect and a champion of high quality architecture. With over 15 years experience, he leads Axiom’s London office.
James believes if we design well proportioned composition, mixed with high quality materials and beautiful details, we can create beautiful buildings. He has strong design and conceptual skills, and combines commercial and technical understanding to deliver projects through all RIBA Stages.
With a particular expertise in hotels, he is currently leading a 219 bedroom hotel in the City Of London, a mixed use 38 x storey tower in Canary Wharf comprising a 400 bedroom hotel with luxury residential and retail.
James regularly commentates on design and the built environment, and is chair of the ‘New London Architecture Expert Panel for Hospitality and Retail.’ A panel set up with built-environment leaders to discuss and inform the challenges the sector faces due to the covid-19 pandemic.
